Dr. Nisa Desai completed her undergraduate degree at Northwestern University. She then remained in Chicago and completed her medical degree at University of Illinois at Chicago College of Medicine. She completed her internal medicine residency at University of Virginia Medical Center. Afterwards, she practiced as an academic hospitalist at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and served as an instructor in medicine at Harvard Medical School. To further subspecialize, she completed her gastroenterology and hepatology fellowship at University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital. She is board certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology/hepatology. Dr. Desai’s clinical interests include inflammatory bowel disease, colon cancer screening, and women’s health.
In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, fitness classes, cooking healthy recipes, and exploring new spots in Miami.
